For many years PSP Tutorial Links has provided us, as users of the program, links to tutorials and resources so we could get the most out of the program. The site will be taken down at the end of 2007. Permission has been given to anyone who wants to save some of the pages to their own hard drive for personal use. Please read the announcement provided on the site. If you save the entire site it will take 12.5 MB (366 Files, 35 Folders). The graphic above is linked to the site. Don't put this off!! |

Oh no!!!! I love that site! I use most of the tuts on there and I'm nowhere near finished exploring it! You can DL an entire site? I didn't know that. Could you tell me how to do that? Or, is it better to just save the pages I love most? (That would still be a lot of pages!) |

If you can live with just getting your favorites, go to the page you want and just click File || Save as... and in the dialog box add the subject of the page to the part that's already there. If you want the whole thing I've already downloaded everything and zipped a file (almost 1 MB) you can download. (Link provided in a post further down this thread) |

The idea would be to open each page linked from the main page, like backgrounds, and save it via file>save as, and be sure html is selected from the file type. Thanks for the update Pete! |

There seems to be an apparent problem with the Zip file - it may show 'no files' or gives an error msg. [7 Nov 07]. This may have to do with a slow download rate with your ISP. I double checked the file (11 Nov 07) and all pages were saved, useable, and good (from work, which has a T1 line). When I downloaded the file at home on my laptop I had 'no files' in the folder. As Lana has suggested, try again to download it. If still unsuccessful you will just have to dl it yourself at the site or use a computer with a faster connection. Sorry for any convienence.
The download for the entire PSP Tutorial Links site is here. It is a zipped file 943k. Please remember that PSP Tutorial Links maintains copyright on all material. It can be used for personal use only. If you are new to the downloading process clicking on the link will give you a dialog box which you will then click on Save: I ususally save to my desktop for things like this, and move it later. While the file is downloading you will see this dialog box indicating the progress of your download. When the download is complete you will have the zipped file on your desktop. Right click on it and choose ' Extract to here...' (or if you have another place you want to put it you can browse to that location instead. After extraction you will have this folder on your desktop. Open it and just click on any of the HTM Pages ( not the folders) to open the page on your desktop. Actually, the sites navigation links will take you to PSP Tutorial Links website until it is taken down. After that the navigation links will no longer work and you will just have to open each file separately to view the contents and tutorial links provided within. Over time, many of those tutorial links will no longer work as sites are taken down. |

I just tried to extract the zip file and get a pop-up that says "This zip file is invalid or corrupted." What happened? |

Hi Barbara. I don't know what would cause a statement like that. I just dl'd it at home to my laptop without any problem. I used WinZip for it. Perhaps Lana or Dave might know of possible causes.
Edited a little later: it says no files to extract! I'll Check and let you know what I find out - that's strange. I tried again from my host directly (still indicates a 900+MB file) but it starts to download and then stops. I won't be near the actual file at work till Friday night. I'll re-zip it and test it again. Sorry for the delay! |

lol..its playing a game with you, Pete! Barb, sometimes downloads become corrupt during the transfer from server to computer. Try downloading it again. delete the other of course. if you dont have winzip or an unzipping utility, it should work by just doubleclicking as windows comes with a compression utility. |

I forgot to do that Friday night! Thanks for the reminder. I check the file while at work and had no problem with it. As Lana has suggested, try again if the first time fails to give you a folder inside of which will be one folder and one web page for each of the sites actual pages (the folder holds pertinent info for the page to work, like photos etc.).
I suppose I could break the dl into smaller chuncks but I will wait a little bit for that. There might be a better solution being sought from others. We'll just have to wait and see what develops. |

Remember to look above because I've downloaded all the pages and saved them to a zipped file. Over time some of the link will go bad, but it's still a great resource. |
