Hello,

I would like to print individual pieces of paper - 5.5 width and 4.25 height.  I put the canvas size to that size, did the design and went to print layout to print it.  I chose "custom" but height will not go to 4.25.  It starts at 4.72.  I tried changing landscape, portrait - nothing works.

I tried just straight printing, but the letters come out too small, and no matter how much I stretch the boundaries on print layout, the left and right margins are short.

Is there any way I can print this size paper?

Please help!

Yes, there's a way.  You have to lie to the print layout.

Open your image and resize the canvas so that it is 4.75" high, and in the dialog box tell PSP to put the previous image at top center; this will put half an inch of blank space at the bottom of the new canvas.  Then go to Print Layout and tell it your paper is 4.75" high.  Then print.  Since there is nothing in your image that reaches down past 4.25" below the top, the printer will not print anything down there, and it will not matter that there really isn't that extra half-inch of paper.

Please forgive my ignorance. . .I'm clearly new at this and quite ignorant.

I understood everything you said except the dialog box.  Where is this box?  What do I press to get this box?  I'm sure this is extremely simple. . .I'm really sorry about my ignorance.  Thank you for helping!

. . . . . . . . . . . .

<--- That is the Canvas-
Size dialog box. When you
do Image > Canvas Size
to change the size of the
canvas that the image is
on, this dialog appears so
that you can specify the
size of the new canvas
and the placement of the
previous image in the
new canvas.  Yeah, it's
simple once you know
. . . . . .
