Hello,

I have PSP X1.  When I move the cursor over the FILE menu at the top left of the screen the program freezes, everytime.  Everything else works fine, never had a problem on my old computer.

I have updated to 11.20
I have updated my Nvidia graphics card
I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.

Computer:
Gateway
Vista 64 bit
600gb hard drive
8gb memory

Any recomendations.

Thanks,

The problem may lie in the 8gb memory.  There have been reports of strange behaviors with systems that go over 4gb. One such as you have described is one of them.  To confirm this you might try removing 4gb of memory and running PSP again to see if the problem is still happening.  Post back with your results if you would please.

It's also possible that some of your Windows settings conflict with PSP.
To check, navigate to System Properties, click the Advanced tab, in the Performance panel, click Settings.
Make sure that these are not checked (they're at the top of the list):
Fade or slide menus into view
Fade or slide tootips into view
and maybe
Fade out menu items after clicking

And if that doesn't work, try doing "Willy's Reset," here:  http://pspug.org/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?b-tuts/m-1104306509/

FIXED!!

I held down Shift and opened the program, when asked if I wanted to reset to original settings I said YES.  And The program is working fine now. REstarted the computer a few times and still working normal.

Thanks for the help!

The problem was probably one mentioned at

or
