Two issues were raised; Spammers and low board useage.
  • Spammers are a big problem. . .users here don't see the constant bombardment the board gets from spammers.  (Thanks to the efforts of the board administrator.)

    Many forum boards offer a anti-spam question feature which pretty much totally eliminates spammers.
    The process asks a registration question such as; "Who makes Paint Shop Pro?" which must be answered by the registrant.
    If E-Blah software doesn't have this feature, or doesn't have a mod for it, then it's "game over".

    One possible solution would be to migrate the board over to the Simple Machines forum software.  This can be done but would require technical attention and time.

  • Lack of useage.
    Often times a search can eliminate the need for a question.  And this forum has a tremendous amount of informative knowledge available for search. It would be a shame to lose it.
    Perhaps some board format changes would help promote useage. . .any ideas?
