bought a new Imac computer and by using the boot camp partition I am able to run windows programs I have been able to switch all my programs except for PSP X2, first it was incompatible with the graphics card. I started to install PSP X2 but it kept crashing, after I loaded some drivers I tried to install it again but this time PSP kept telling me tha there was another version installed. I uninstalled and edited the register removing all the mentions to PSP, Paint Shop etc, still when I tried to do an installation I still get the same message, can anyone help me, Corel has not been helpful, their solution is to install several other programs

Where does PSP get the info that there is another version of PSP installed? maybe if I edit or delete this I will be able to install it.

I would hate that after all these year I would have to switch to another graphic software

Thanks

Some questions.

I have imported Nagel brushes into my preset file. They are sitting there in PNG format .When I try to open them I get a black screen. Have I missed an importing step?
How do I change PNG to CPT?
Several years age I purchased Corel X-3. With that came a time limited trial version of Painter IX. For a Varity of reasons I did not try the program at the time. Is this version of Painter still available at what by now should be a reduced price? (I have Painter essentials 4) I would like to try a full edition of Painted before I purchase a complete new edition…. It’s recession limited spending time!

Scott
Username “Scott”

PSPX freezes on a regular basis

Hi !

I have just upgraded from PSP9 to PSPX through a recent free promo offer from Corel that gave away full version for free of PSP X 10.10. It works fine for everything except after a number of operations on a graphic file or the next one (I do not work on huge ones, usually no larger than 800 x 600px), if I click on any button to apply an effect or whatever, the program just freezes up without error message or warning of any kind and I need to kill it and restart it through the process manager. I have checked whether it was due to overuse of memory of something but it doesn't look so as I still had 1.4Go left and the CPU usage was below 10%. I never encountered this with PSP9 though it would occasionally crash from time to time (something I got used to with PSP over the years even with PSP8 ) but not so often. I feel bad to have to move back to PSP9 as I really enjoy some of the new functions in PSPX (like the new improved layer palette for instance) so I'd be grateful if anyone could help me identify the problem and hopefully sort it out.

----

My configuration :
- Windows XP Pro SP3
- 2Go RAM
- Intel Core Duo CPU 2.66GHz /2.67GHz
- Graphic Card ATI Radeon HD3600 512Mo

Corel PSPX 10.10 preferences :
- Cancellation activated (no size limit ticked)
- Cache and display all boxes ticked (except Last type for Save as) - zoom set to fastest and thumbnails 80px
- Cache located in Application Data/My Profile

text vector

I am just wondering if a text vector can be editable once saved as psd. I have a project with many layers and when I save it as a psd file they all remain the same and editable except for the text vector. When I click on it to change the text it will not let me do it. Is there anyway to make my text editable once saved in psd format or can it only be edited in psp?

Since there are no dumb questions, here goes:

I have PSP v. 8. I signed up to take some online classes and chose PSP. I see that they class teaches PSP v. X and X2. Are these the latest versions of my old v. 8? I see that the title of one has the word Photo in it. I just want to be sure I am getting the upgrade to what I already have when I buy one. So, tell me what that is, please.

Thanks!
