Using PSP8:
Histogram and Clarify
Objective: To erase backgrounds in order to enhance photograph and then apply enhancement effects and different backgrounds.
In the first example I erased the background and applied smoothing effects. On this photograph I then applied the Historgram effect and then the clarify effect.
- Histogram Adjustment Effect
- Low = 0
- Gamma = 1
- High = 180
- Output Max = 255
- Output Min = 0
- Midtone Compress = 0
- Clarify with value of 2
Comment: To get different appearances for the photograph in either lightening it or darkening and obtaining different shadowing effects, play with the 6 different Histogram Adjustment values.
Also, experiment with adding Clarify a second time.
