Combination #2 - Histogram with Combinatioin #1

How I did it...

Using PSP8:   Iris - #6.

6. Combination #2

In this example I took Combination #1 and added a histogram effect which created an even lighter and richer purple effect. The values I used by were as follows:
  • Low = 0
  • Gamma = 1
  • High = 190
If one uses the same values used just with original, the picture will lighten but it will be a paler purple result.
Final Comments:

Using the Unsharp Mask is a way to sharpen an image in a very controlled way. Then applying Gamma Correction either with linked or unlinked colors one can change the brightness/contrast of the object and even alter is basic colors.

One can also apply various effects to enhance a photograph. In this example after working with the Gamma Correction, I applied first a Curve and then a Histogram.

In comparing the four weeks, the results are very similar even though we used different Adjustment Effects in the Brightness/Contrast area. Experimenting with various tools one will find some work well with a photograph while others work better with other photographs.
