Melting Snow

How I did it...

• The program used is PSP8.
• I combined the horses and the falling water pictures together using 'Arithmetic'.
• The picture was rather dark so I adjusted the 'Brightness and Contrast' to get the brightness to my liking, but the leafy area at the front stood out too much, so I used the 'Change to Target' brush to tone down the colours in this area.
• I used the outside filter 'Fantastic Machines Paint Engine', playing with the settings to get a more painted effect, then finished by using PSP's texture to give a canvas like appearance.
