How I did it...

• 1 - made a color swatch of image colors for later reference
• 2 - selecting background areas only and using Effects\Artistic\Topography
  - Width 1 Density 20 Angle 0.
  This set background to a brush - like texture. Slightly softened background.
• 3 - Used clone tool to blot out various areas of extra branch sections with background texture.
• 4 - Selecting branch and using Paint Brush to lay down color, I then used push, smudge, sharpen and soften tools to re - paint the branch.
• 5 - Selecting bird only and using same tools as in #4, the bird was re - painted with added texture.
• 6 - merged all and did some clean up work by blending colors and sharpening edges.
• 7 - matted image with light texture.
• 8 - finished with frame.
• 9 - added final texture - Blinds width 2 opacity 10
• About 3 hours work
