Woman with Boy

How I did it...

Using PSP v8.

• 1. Greyscale and colors to 16k.
• 2. Cropped photo to just the picture removing the white background
• 3. Used clone brush to remove the wire fench behind woman
• 4. Used Lighten/darken brush to make figures brighter and more white
• 5. Colored the grass using a very dark green
• 6. Colored the boys kerchief very light blue
• 7. Colored the porch and house light brown
• 8. Created a selection around the figures and saved it to alpha
• 9. Added a top layer and flood filled it with white
• 11. Recalled the selection and feathered it outside at 50%
• 12. Deleted to get the woman and boy showing
• 13. Added a frame (Corners Taped preset).
