- I started by using 'Adjust Brightness and Contrast' to lighten the
- image, without fading it too much.
- Then smoothed it a little with 'Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Texture Preserving Smooth'.
- Next I used the 'Change to target Brush' to add some colour to the figure.
- I used the clone tool on the worst cracks in the background, then decided to smooth out the whole background area, so I used the freehand selection too to select the background and used 'Blur More' on this area and de-selected.
- I thought the whole image needed sharpening, just a little, so used the 'Unsharp Mask'.
- The picture had a rather red tint which I wanted to make more natural, to do this I used 'Adjust Colour Balance' adding more cyan to the midtones.
- I finished by cropping the image.
