You will need to have a registered copy of

Download this tutorial. |
| |
Start by opening a new image that's 150 x 100, 16 million colors
and a transparent background.
| |
Now click on your selection tool using these settings:
– Shape = Rectangle
– Antialias = Checked
– Feather = Unchecked
| |
Draw out a nice size that you would like for your button. It should look like the one on the left.
| |
Click on the flood fill tool and fill the retangle with white and then go to effects || plugins || flaming pear || primus.
| |
I choose the third preset and moved the slider all the way to the
left so that it was at a 5. You can play and see what you like. After you are done click ok.
| |
Go to selections || select none. Now is the time to either save your button as a psp file or you can tube it. The purpose of this is so that when you want to use your button again you don't have to keep making it.
| |
Ok now add a new raster layer and click on the text button. Now click on your button so that we can add some text to it.
| |
I used the these settings:
– Font = Black Chancery
– Size = "16" points
– Antialias = Checked
– Floating = Checked
You can use bold if you like. I prefer a thinner font for my buttons.
Go ahead and click ok when you are done.
| |
Now position your text so that it is centered within your button. Right click to set it. Now go to layers merge || merge visible. Go to edit || copy then edit || paste as a new image and save your button as a .gif and your done!
